  Our room was clean and the beds were surprisingly comfortable - I've had much worse beds in chains and 'nicer' motels. They offer rooms and cabins; the cabins are much more expensive, but may have a bit more room. The grounds are attractive and the staff is friendly.
  
  They also accept small- and medium-size dogs, but make sure to mention when booking. They provide a very nice doggie package (food/water bowl, extra towel and blanket, poop bags, and a list of local dog-friendly businesses).
  
  We packed five of us (two adults, two kids, and our dog) into one of the rooms and were pretty happy for the night. A perfectly acceptable continental breakfast is available in the morning.
  
  For the price we were very happy with our room.

  The only thing good about this place was the breakfast. Cold water only in the bathroom so no shower and we had to argue to get the price of the room discounted and the owner can be rude and sarcastic. Old TV with poor reception. All you're really getting for the money is a bed to sleep in, toilet and breakfast. There are better places for the money down the road.

  I was in the area attending a Dog Trial. I had a motel room here. Breakfast was awesome, the dog area was fenced and well-kept. I received a "Dog Bag", that included a blanket, dog bowls, waste bags, treats. We were made to feel like kings. This is a quaint motel/cottage. Traffic noise wasn't noticeable. Wi-Fi was great. Room had a refrigerator, coffee machine, microwave, tv, couch. Will definitely return here next year. To top it all off, I received a "THANK YOU NOTE" from them for my stay! It doesn't get any more "Maine" than this!
